Is “Forever” One And Done?

The recently released Bon Jovi album “Forever” peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200 in its debut week but dropped off the chart one week later. Unless there’s a major single to drive sales or a label promotion that brings the set to the forefront “Forever” will be the Bon Jovi album with the shortest stay on the sales-based Billboard chart.

“Forever” had a multi-pronged media campaign that included the release of the documentary series “Thank You Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story.”

Unfortunately, “Forever” seems to be a part of a negative trend. The band’s previous effort, ’20’s pandemic-delayed “2020,” only notched two weeks on the chart. It debuted at #19, then took a nosedive the following week before departing for good.
