On this day seven years ago… Foo Fighters earn platinum awards for their albums “Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace” and “Wasting Light.”
Released in ’07 “Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace” sold 168,000 copies in its first week. The album is noted for a blend of regular Rock and acoustic tracks with shifting dynamics,
“Wasting Light,” the band’s seventh studio album. was recorded in frontman Dave Grohl’s the garage of using only analog equipment to capture the band’s original, pre-digital sound. The album topped the Billboard 200.
The single “Learn To Fly” also goes platinum while “The Pretender,” “Everlong” and “Best Of You” are double platinum.
