As I Lay Dying’s “Through Storms Ahead” Drops
As I Lay Dying’s eighth full-length studio album “Through Storms Ahead,” is out. The album was finished before four bandmembers – bassist Ryan Neff, guitarist Ken Susi, guitarist Phil Sgrosso and drummer Nick Pierce – announced their departures. Perhaps the title was prophetic.
From the album, the band released the single “We Are The Dead” featuring guest vocalists Alex Terrible and Tom Barber. Both appear in the video.
Guitarist Phil Sgrosso, one of the band’s two remaining members, noted the song is “spotlighting our thrashier tendencies that we still enjoy mixing in amongst our more melodic sound. I think this is the meanest we’ve ever gone in terms of aggression.”
The set also features the previously released “Burden” and “The Cave We Fear To Enter.”
