AC/DC top the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart this week with their ’90 hit “Thunderstruck” (from the band’s “The Razor’s Edge” set).
“It started off from a little trick I had on guitar,” explained the band’s Angus Young (pictured). “We built the song up from that. We fiddled about with it for a few months before everything fell into place. Lyrically, it was really just a case of finding a good title. We came up with this thunder thing… and it seemed to have a good ring to it. AC/DC = Power.”
Following the song’s initial release it went to #5 on Billboard‘s Mainstream Rodk chart and had previously claimed the top spot on the Hard Rock Digital Sales chart in ’12.
