A Day In Rock – December 2nd, 2012: Led Zeppelin Honored
On this day twelve years ago… The three surviving members of Led Zeppelin— John Paul Jones, Robert Plant and Jimmy Page (the latter two pictured above)— received Kennedy Center Honors during a ceremony in Washington D.C. “We owe a large debt to the vitality and variety of the music of the American people,” Jones, Plant and Page offered in a statement.
One of the show’s highlights was Heart’s tribute rendition of the Zeppelin classic “Stairway To Heaven.”
