Tom Morello’s “Adjourn It” Channels “Salt Of The Earth”
Tom Morello (pictured above) has released “Adjourn It,” featuring Serj Tankian from System Of A Down and the Rage Against The Machine guitarist’s son, Roman Morello.
Clips from the 1954 film “Salt Of The Earth” appear in the “Adjourn It“ music video promoting the theme of resistance in the face of prejudice and injustice. The film was based on a true story of Mexican-American miners fighting against labor exploitation, racism, and institutional oppression.

Morello, who is known for his innovative guitar work and socially conscious songwriting, rose to prominence as a founding member of Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave earning multiple Grammy Awards and more than 30 million albums sold worldwide.
In 2002, Tankian co-founded the non-profit political activism organization Axis For Justice, alongside Morello.
In 2011, the System Of A Down frontman was awarded the Armenian Prime Minister’s Medal for his contributions to the recognition of the Armenian genocide and the advancement of music.
