Next Bullet For My Valentine Album? Think 2027
Bullet For My Valentine expect to release their eighth album around January of 2027. The original hope was to get the follow-up to the band’s ’21 self-titled effort released in 2025 but it there were delays. Now though, the album is pretty much done.
With the album in the can, why is the release taking so long?
“We need to time it right and build up promo and have five singles, maybe, before it comes out — one every month — and build it up,” reported Bullet For My Valentine drummer Jason Bowld. “‘Cause once the machine starts, that’s it for 14, 18 months. We’re off then. And it has to be set up right.”
Are there any initial comments regarding the album?
“I think genuinely this album is going to appeal to a lot of people,” offered guitarist/vocalist Matt Tuck added: “I think it’s got all the right ingredients that people have loved about Bullet For My Valentine. Could it be the most definitive Bullet record yet? Possibly, yeah. We’re excited.”
Guitarist Michael “Padge” Paget concluded: “We’ve always said we never wanna make the same album twice. One, I think it’s cop-out because we’ve already done it. We’ll never do what ‘The Poison’ did for a debut album. And we like to keep it fresh for ourselves and challenge ourselves, make it interesting for the fans.”
Last year, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of “The Poison,” Bullet For My Valentine released a 20th anniversary edition of the album and announced, ‘The Poisoned Ascendancy’ Tour’, a co-headlining trek with Trivium in 2025 They were celebrating the 20th anniversary of their sophomore set “Ascendancy.”
But Bullet For My Valentine pulled out of tour in May 2025 after finishing the North American leg and released a statement expressing that they decided to focus on the “next chapter.”
