Sun Dont Shine Have The “Power To Live”
Sun Dont Shine will release its debut full-length album, “Birth To Death,” on April 1st. As another preview album preview the band has issued “Power To Live.”
Written by Kenny Hickey (guitar/vocals) and Kirk Windstein (guitar/vocals), “the track is a challenge to the times we’re living in.” The band calls the song “an insistence on survival and consciousness in the face of cycles that refuse to break.”

“I don’t want our music to be one-dimensional,” offers Hickey. “I don’t want it to be just dark and doomy or always so heavy. I want it to be both light and dark, dynamic and unpredictable.”
The first single from Sun Dont Shine, “The Promise Song,” dropped in January 2025. Under the Eye AM banner, the band issued a pair singles in 2023.
