Mick Mars Loses To Motley Crüe

The protracted legal battle between Motley Crüe and former guitarist Mick Mars, which began in ’23, has reached a definitive conclusion.

On Wednesday (1/28), the Honorable Patrick J. Walsh (Ret.), an independent arbitrator, issued a final award rejecting every claim made by Mars against the band.

The ruling confirmed that Mars forfeited his rights to touring revenue upon retiring from the road and ordered him to repay over $750,000 in unrecouped tour advances to the band’s corporate entities.

Mars was replaced by John 5 for touring and later became a band member.

The arbitration was the final stage of a battle that saw Mars accuse his bandmates—Nikki Sixx, Vince Neil, and Tommy Lee—of attempting to “unilaterally” oust him from the group’s lucrative business entities.
