White Stripes Drop Trump Lawsuit

The White Stripes have dropped their copyright infringement lawsuit against Donald Trump over the unauthorized use of “Seven Nation Army” in a campaign video released earlier this year.

In the complaint, which was filed amid Trump’s campaign for re-election, the White Stripes noted that they “vehemently oppose the policies adopted and actions taken by defendant Trump when he was President and those he has proposed for the second term he seeks.”

Jack and Meg White chose to dismiss the claims “without prejudice,” meaning they could decide to bring them again. The dismissal comes just under a week after Trump won the presidential election.
