Trump Wants Springsteen & Bono Investigated
The president takes to Truth Social to demand an investigation into Bruce Springsteen, Bono and others, who he accuses of accepting campaign money to endorse and perform for 2024 Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
“Candidates aren’t allowed to pay for ENDORSEMENTS, which is what Kamala did, under the guise of paying for entertainment,” ranted the president.
Last week, The Boss told a Manchester, England audience that President Trump is “incompetent and treasonous.”
“Tonight we ask all who believe in democracy and the best of our American experience to rise with us, raise your voices against the authoritarianism, and let freedom ring,” Springsteen told the crowd.
Despite Trump’s claims, there’s no evidence U2’s Bono, an Irish citizen who has been critical of Trump, had any involvement in last year’s U.S. presidential election.
It’s possible the Harris campaign wasn’t the source of Trump’s ire.
