“Summer” is the third single from Mary Timony’s upcoming album, “Untame The Tiger,” due February 23rd. “The Guest” and “Dominoes,” from late last year, were the previous singles.
“I wanted it (“Summer”) to be a guitar stomper kind of in the vein of The Kinks, Jethro Tull or Elf and have simultaneous guitar solos at the end,” said the Indie singer/songwriter who currently fronts Ex Hex.
Timony hit the road at the end of February with Ex Hex guitarist Betsy Wright. ”I can’t wait to Rock those twin solos with (Wright)!” Timony wrote in a press release.
“Untame The Tiger,” recorded over a two-year period, will be Timony’s first solo effort in over 15 years.
