“We didn’t care what anybody thought — we just wanted to write a deathcore song,” the band recalled. “It turned out to be really special. Chris did not disappoint either.”

“In general, ‘Lonely God’ relates to the pursuit of power,” offered vocalist Ryan Kirby. “You may have all of the power and be a ‘God,’ but it’s a lonely spot because the world despises you.”

Everest

8/8 Halestorm: Everest

“Our album ‘Everest’ is a story of our journey as a band, full of beautiful endings and new beginnings,” commented frontwoman Lzzy Hale. “We weave a tangled web of melancholy, frustration, anger, and the vast purgatory of love and love lost. It is a rollercoaster of epic musical detours, great songwriting and completely unhinged twists and turns.”

The album was produced by Grammy winner Dave Cobb.

Motel Du Cap

8/8 Good Charolette: Motel Du Cap

Good Charolette’s eighth album will be the band’s first full length release since ’18’s “Generation Rx.” The single “Last December” dropped in ’20.

In the intervening years, the Maden brothers (Joel and Benji) have been involved in a live streaming platform, artist management and Joel’s Artist Friendly podcast.

“There’s always a little colored sarcasm in our music, there’s a little tongue-in-cheek,” noted Benji.

The Algorithm – Ultra Edition

8/8 Filter: The Algorithm – Ultra Edition

It’s a re-imagined, remixed and remastered version of songs from “The Algorithm,” with nine additional tracks.

“The Algorithm,” released in ’23, was Filter’s eighth studio album.

Originally conceived in 2018 as a follow-up to the band’s first album, “Short Bus” (1995) the project was shelved due to the collapse of the PledgeMusic crowd funding platform.

Close Your Eyes

8/8 Liv Sin: Close Your Eyes

Fronted by Liv Jagrell (ex-Sister Sin), the album features the title track with Scar Symmetry’s Lars Palmqvist.

“The song has a straight-up melodic chorus that everyone was instantly hooked on,” stated Liv Sin. “The song also has a darker edge to it, since it covers the topic of human trafficking.”

In 2016 singer Jagrell formed Liv Sin with the band’s debut album, “Follow Me,” arriving the following year.

New Messiahs

8/8 Ashes Of Ares: New Messiahs

The Heavy Metal duo featuring former Iced Earth members Matt Barlow and Freddie Vidales, will release its fourth full-length effort.

“Bright As Blasphemy” is the follow-up to 2021’s “Niratias.”

Ricochet

8/15 Rise Against: Ricochet

It’s their first album in four years.

“‘Ricochet is about our collective inter-connectedness,” frontman Tim McIlrath explained. “Everything you do is going to affect somebody; everything you throw will affect the next person.”

“We’re connected to other countries, other economies; we’re connected to undocumented immigrants,” continued McIlrath “We’re connected to every decision our leaders make. It’s all one big ricochet effect. That idea is the backbone of this album.”

Unbreakable

8/15 David Ellefson/Jeff Scott Soto: Unbreakable

Ellefson, a former Megadeth bassist, and Soto, an acclaimed Metal vocalist, have lined-up their second album.

“It’s heavier, more personal, and shaped by everything we’ve experienced on and off the stage,” noted Ellefson.

Ellefson – Soto’s debut album, “Vacation In The Underworld,” was released in ’22.

Band Of Brothers

8/15 Warmen: Band Of Brothers

Warmen, the creation of former Children Of Bodom keyboardist Janne “Warman” Wirman, will deliver the follow-up to 2023’s “Here For None.”

“We really wrote this album together,” says Wirman. “It feels like a real band — a true band of brothers.”

“Having a live album has always been a dream of ours and, for it to be out in a concert film, vinyl and everything in between, is a huge accomplishment for us,” stated The Warning.

“The live debut of our (latest) album Keep Me Fed’ was possible thanks to the work of a huge team,” added the band.

All Is Beautiful… Because We’re Doomed

8/22 We Came As Romans: All Is Beautiful… Because We’re Doomed

The set contains the track “Culture Wound.”

“‘(The song) is about taking a look inside and deciding which side of yourself is going to control your life,” stated the band. “This song was written to question our human nature — is it inherently good or inherently selfish? Are we here to try and make something better for everyone or just survive for ourselves? All of the different ‘sides of ourselves’ that we’ve discovered, struggled with, or left behind.”

Private Music

8/22 Deftones: Private Music

“Private Music,” with the lead single “My Mind Is A Mountain,” is the first Deftones album in fifteen years without bassist Sergio Vega.

It’s also their first studio album since “Ohms” (2020), making it the Alt. Metal band’s longest gap between two albums.

Deftones will embark on a North American tour that will coincide with the album’s release.

A Thousand Little Deaths

8/22 Blackbriar: A Thousand Little Deaths

The album features “The Last Sigh Of Bliss.” “It’s a sultry, seductive, and euphoric song with heavy guitars and a chorus,” said vocalist Zora Cock.

The Dutch band formed in 2012 and according to Finland’s Tuonela Magazine, mixes “a healthy dose of Gothic imagery into their brand of symphonic Metal.”

The band currently generates 1 million Spotify streams a month,

Some Kind Of Alchemy

8/22 Otherwise: Some Kind Of Alchemy EP

The band recently signed with the Seek and Strike imprint.

“The label was co-founded by a dear friend who has believed in the band and our message since our inception,” stated Otherwise singer Adrian Patrick. “He cares about us and vice versa, which is saying a lot for the music business.”

The album’s first single was ‘Stop, Drop And Roll (Doesn’t Work In Hell).”

Inquisition

8/22 Burning Witches: Inquisition

The band’s sixth’ sixth studio album features the set’s title track.

“‘Inquisition’ (the album) is for those of you who are into legends like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Slayer – full of power, melodies, double bass drums, heavy riffs and speedy guitar solos,” enthused founding guitarist Romana Kalkuhl. “‘Inquisition’ is not only our style and lifestyle, it’s our life! From the beginning to the end, it’s the best of us.”

Giants & Monsters

8/29 Helloween: Giants & Monsters

“It’s hard to describe (the album), because there are lots of speedy and heavy things on it,” explained vocalist Andi Deris. “But when I listen through it, I feel good. I mean, that’s a good sign. Not that I felt bad when I listened to the last album — that’s not what I mean. It’s fun. I listen to it, and it’s fun. Definitely.”

“In the end, we’re just seven guys who want to make music and enjoy the incomparable force that arises when we’re together,” concluded Deris. “Helloween is way more powerful than the sum of its parts.”
