Mötley Crüe co-founder Mick Mars has sued his ex-band – claiming they kicked him out and ripped him off, financially. The guitarist, suffering from a debilitating arthritic disease called ankylosing spondylitis, stepped away from the “Stadium Tour.” John 5 replaced Mars.

“Unfortunately, Mick chose to file this lawsuit to badmouth the band,” wrote Mötley Crüe in a statement posted Thursday.  “The band feels empathy for Mick, wishes him well and hopes that he can get better guidance from his advisors who are driven by greed.” The band added that the charges are “unfortunate” and “completely off-base.”

Mars countered saying he “carried those bastards for years.”
