Docu-Series Revisits John Lennon’s Murder

John Lennon: Murder Without A Trial” premiers on Apple+ December 6th. The three-part docu-series, which includes new eyewitness accounts, is billed as the “most thoroughly researched examination” of the tragedy. Actor Kiefer Sutherland provides the narration.

Lennon was shot to death on December 8th, 1980, outside the Dakota building in New York City where he and Yoko Ono had an apartment.

Mark Chapman pled guilty to officers at the scene and was never tried. He remains in jail, after being denied parole for the 12th time last year. His next appearance before the parole board set for next February.

Lennon, the iconic and outspoken ex-Beatle and solo artist, influenced and was loved by millions. His death sent the world into mourning.

Chapman has said he committed the crime to become famous.
