Rock’s Huntley Wins “The Voice”
Huntley (Michael Huntley) is the Season 24 winner of “The Voice.”
Over the years it has been very rare that a Rock oriented singer has made the finals much less prevail in the singing competition.
Huntley, with Blues/Country leanings and known for his signature “Viking” look sang a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door” for the December 19th finale with his coach Niall Horan (One Direction).
Huntley was born in Spring Hill in Hernando County, FL, but grew up in Fredericksburg, VA. He moved to Tennessee to pursue a music career but he eventually returned home when things didn’t pan out.
He will receive $100,000 cash and a recording deal with Universal Music Group.
