Green Day’s Surprise Performance For Fallon
Green Day delivers an impromptu six-song performance (on 1/16) at the Rockefeller Center subway train station stop as part of a surprise set taped for “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
The band members emerged from a train in disguise wearing wigs, fake beards and mustaches, coats and hats and sunglasses as they sauntered over to their instruments and started to play before revealing their true identities to the gathered audience.
The appearance supports the release, this Friday, of Green Day’s 14th studio album, “Saviors.”
The album includes “The American Dream Is Killing Me” which had an eight-week run at #1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart… the band’s eighth #1 on the survey.
There’s also “Look Ma, No Brains” and “Dilemma.”
