Former Nightwish members Marko “Marco” Hietala and Tarja Turunen have collaborated on the power ballad “Left On Mars.“
It’s “a love song to my wife which ends up uniting two old friends.” explained Hietala.
“It was a strong one immediately,” said guitarist/song producer Tuomas Wäinölä. “I think Marko had the idea of it being a duet too, straight from the beginning.
Turunen, an original Nightwish member, was in the Symphonic Metal band from ’96 to ’05 while Hietala’s run went from ’02 to ’21.
