Disney+ is streaming “The Beach Boy, a celebration of the band whose music encapsulated the California sound and lifestyle.
The documentary has never-before-seen footage and interviews with The Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine and Bruce Johnston plus archival interviews with the late Carl and Dennis Wilson.
Their best-known songs include “California Girls,” “Good Vibrations” and “God Only Knows.”
Hailing from Hathorne, CA, the Beach Boys formed in ’61 with the three Wilson brothers (Brian, Dennis and Carl), a cousin (Mike Love) and a friend (Al Jardine).
They received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in ’80 and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in ’88.
