Clapton Unplugged Coming To Theaters
In a case of ‘better late than never’, MTV has announced the release of “Eric Clapton Unplugged… Over 30 Years Later.” The 90-minute film will premiere in select U.S. and U.K. theaters on Monday, January 27th. and Tuesday, January 28th., before it is available to stream globally on Paramount+ beginning Wednesday, February 12th.
The hour-long concert footage, originally created for the “MTV Unplugged” franchise, will be augmented by exclusive content of Clapton discussing the inspiration behind specific songs and performances.
One of the standout performances from the original 1992 set was Clapton’s reimaging of the classic song “Layla.”
