Billy Joel Gets Help Closing Out His Garden Run

Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose joined Billy Joel on stage during the final show Thursday night (7/25) of Piano Man’s residency at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Rose was around for renditions of Wings’ “Live And Let Die,” a song that was also a GN’R hit, AC/DC’s “Highway To Hell.” which Rose previously performed with Joel during a ’17 concert at Dodger Stadium in L.A. – the previous year Rose had filled in for an ailing Brian Johnson on an AC/DC tour – and Joel’s ’80 hit “You May Be Right.”

Thursday night’s concert marked Joel’s 150th MSG show. He began his stand in January ’14 playing one show every month going forward as the venue’s first-ever music franchise.
