“Back To The Beginning” Livestream Revenue

The July 5th Black Sabbath/Ozzy Osbourne “Back To The Beginning” farewell concert in Brimingham, U.K. where the band began in 1968, raised approximately $150 million in livestream revenue.

Sabbath’s final show was streamed by over 5 million fans worldwide with digital tickets going for $29.99.

Proceeds from the concert itself are set to go to charity – Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice. It is unclear whether the same is true for the livestream revenue.

Ozzy performed five songs (“I Don’t Know,” “Mr. Crowley,” “Suicide Solution,” “Crazy Train,” and the ballad “Mama, I’m Coming Home”) with his solo band before joining Black Sabbath for four songs (“War Pigs,” “Iron Man,” “N.I.B.,” and “Paranoid”).
