Alex Van Halen’s “Brothers” Has Arrived
“Brothers,” a new 384-page book by Van Halen drummer Alex Van Halen (pictured left with Eddie), is available. “It is the definitive take on Edward Van Halen’s life and death from the one who knew and loved him best,” wrote the book’s editor Sara Nelson. Alex has said the memoir of is a “love letter” to his late guitar great brother.
The Van Halen family left the Netherlands in ’62, moving to Pasadena. A decade later, Alex and his guitarist kid brother Eddie launched a band called Mammoth. They renamed it Van Halen when singer David Lee Roth joined.
Van Halen, the band, was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in ’07. Eddie passed away in ’20.
