Today In Rock: April 7th, 2018 – “Boarding House Reach” Is #1
On this day… Jack White’s “Boarding House Reach” was #1 on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 124,000 copies. It was his third consecutive chart-topping record as a solo artist.
“Boarding House Reach” was written in Nashville and recorded throughout ’17 in Nashville, New York City, and L.A.
White produced and co-mixed the Blues Rock set and, in addition to vocals, he played guitars, drums, organs, and synthesizers.
“Connected By Love,” the first song written for the album, was originally titled “Infected by Love.” The track “Over And Over And Over” was originally written in ’05 as a possible White Stripes song.

Both tracks were released as a double single.
