Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame? “No Big Deal”
“I think people get too worked up about the RRHF,” wrote Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx (pictured far left) on Sunday via X. “If you get in that’s cool and if not, it’s not a big deal. It’s an award. None of us hopefully make music just for awards.”
Through the years, the band’s drummer Tommy Lee and former guitarist Mick Mars have made negative comments about the Hall and the selection process. Mötley Crüe has been eligible since 2006.
“It’s not some elite club that defines you,” Sixx continued.
Typically, Crue frontman Vince Neil (pictured far right), eight years ago, had the ‘final’ word. “We’ll probably go in at some point, but we might not all be alive when it happens. Our grandkids will probably have to pick up the awards.”
