Riot Fest Turns 20
Founded in 2005, this year’s Riot Fest at Chicago’s Douglass Park will run September 19th-21st. Blink-182 (pictured), Green Day, Weezer and Jack White. are the headliners.
The list of 90 bands scheduled to perform includes the Sex Pistols, Alkaline Trio, Knocked Loose, Bad Religion, and The Hold Steady.
“We didn’t plan on making it for twenty years. We planned on making it through one weekend,” noted festival founder Michael Petryshyn. “But here we are — still loud, still weird, still building something bigger than we ever meant to.”
