Pearl Jam Bio In October

“Pearl Jam Live! 35 Years Of Legendary Music And Revolutionary Shows,” a biography written by music journalist Selena Fragassi, will arrive October 14th.

The book traces the band’s formation in Seattle to detailing their cultural impact and the development. All the studio albums from “Ten” to “Dark Matter” are examined. The book also features archival photography, interviews, and detailed band history.

The book employs a three-act structure: Opening Act (’84-’91) covers the band’s Seattle origins and formation; Headliner (’92-’00) chronicles their meteoric rise; and Encore (’01-Present) examines their continued relevance in contemporary Rock.

Topics include their battles with Ticketmaster (over ticket pricing and availability), and their move from Grunge pioneers to an arena-filling act.

Fragassi, a Chicago-based music journalist with 17 years of experience, currently contributes to the Chicago Sun-Times.
