New Music: Dark Tranquillity, As I Lay Dying, Ice Nine Kills. Flotsam And Jetsam & David Reece

Dark Tranquillity: Not Nothing

Not Nothing is an existential piece of (the upcoming album) Endtime Signals that we feel showcases some of the diversity that the album holds,” offers vocalist Mikael Stanne.

As I Lay Dying: The Cave We Fear To Enter

“This is the first time I’ve written lyrics based on an idea started by someone else in the band (bassist/vocalist Ryan Neff),” noted vocalist Tim Lambesis.

Ice Nine Kills/Reel Big Fish: Walking On Sunshine

In conjunction with Sumerian Comics’ “American Psycho comic book series, Ice Nine Kills and Ska band Reel Big Fish have released a cover of Katrina & The Waves ’83 hit. “(I) bludgeoned out my favorite cover we’ve ever done,” enthused Ice Nine Kills frontman Spencer Charnas.  INK started as a Ska/Pop-Punk band in ’00 but switched to Metalcore for their second effort.

Flotsam And Jetsam: Burned My Bridges

The track is the third single from the band’s upcoming 15th studio set I Am The Weapon, which will arrive on September 13th. The first two singles were the title track and “Primal.”

David Reece (ex-Accept): Tomorrow Don’t Matter Today

With live footage from his recent tours, the song is from his solo set, “Baptized By Fire,” which dropped last March.

Wargasm (featuring Slipknot’s Corey Taylor): 70% Dead

The track was recorded while Wargasm was on tour with Taylor during his solo run in the U.S. “We just felt like the voices sounded right together,” wrote Wargasm in a statement.
