New Rock Albums: June 2025

Here is a list of significant Rock albums scheduled to be released in the coming weeks. The month’s releases include and All-Star tribute, a classic album’s deluxe edition, two bands on very different trajectories presenting their fourth albums and a band offering their ninth studio set.

6/6 Turnstile: Never Enough

Their fourth album was recorded between Los Angeles and the band’s homes in Baltimore, “Never Enough” was produced by Turnstile’s Brendan Yates.

The group’s first full-length release in four years is their first album to not feature guitarist Brady Ebert following his ’22 departure.

Meg Mills makes her debut as an official member (replacing Ebert), after touring with the band from ’23 to ’25.

6/6 Volbeat: God Of Angels Trust

“In the past, I’ve taken a long time to write and obsessed over so many elements of the songs before finishing them,” said guitarist/vocalist Michael Poulsen. “This time, I wanted to make a Volbeat record without thinking too much about it. Instead of following any kind of structure I said, ‘Okay, there are no rules. I can do anything I want’. That was freeing for me and made it exciting to write this album.”

It’s Volbeat’s ninth studio effort.

6/6 Various Artists: Magic Power – An All-Star Tribute To Triumph

The 15-track album features DOROTHY, Sebastian Bach, Nancy Wilson, Joey Belladonna, Slash, Nita Strauss. and Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, covering classic Triumph songs.  

Dee Snider (Twisted Sister) cut a version of “Lay It On The Line.” “The first time I heard this song, I was blown away. I’m honored to be a part of this!

 “The music of Triumph will always hold a special place in my heart,” added Bach. “I’m super proud to pay tribute to one of my favorite bands of all time.”

6/13 Buckcherry: Roar Like Thunder

The set was recorded last November in Nashville with producer Marti Frederiksen, who has history with the band co-writing the Top 10 hit “Sorry,” co-producing with Buckcherry the ’08 album “Butterfly” and co-writing three songs with frontman Josh Todd and guitarist Keith Nelson for ’13’s “Confessions.”

The set’s first two singles, the title track and “Come On” have already been released.

6/13 Metallica: Load (Remastered Deluxe Box Set)

The set’s 15 CDs include a remastered “Load album, collected riffs, demos and rough mixes, B-Sides rarities, and live material. The four DVDs offer behind the scenes, in-studio and live footage and broadcast appearances.

6/13 Neil Young: Talkin’ To The Trees

Neil Young, along with his new band, The Chrome Hearts issue their debut full-length album. The Chrome Hearts are Spooner Oldham (Organ); Micah Nelson (Guitar and Vocal); Corey McCormick (Bass and Vocal); Anthony LoGerfo (Drums); All songs are written by Neil Young, co-produced by Lou Adler and Young, and recorded at Shangri La Studios in Malibu.

6/27 Babymetal: Metal Forth

“Metal Forth” (meaning ‘beyond Metal”) is their fourth original album but first for Capitol Records.

Poppy, Spiritbox and Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine) contributed to the set.

The band plans to follow the album with a world tour.

Babymetal is credited with creating the kawaii Metal (“cute metal”) genre, which combines elements from J-pop and Heavy Metal.

6/27 Bruce Springsteen: Tracks II – The Lost Albums

“Tracks II: The Lost Albums ” is a collection of seven unheard Bruce Springsteen records made between 1983–2018.

There are 83 new selections (mostly never-before-heard songs), The Country/Rockabilly oriented album “Somewhere North Of Nashville” contains “Repo Man” which dropped in May.
