L.A. Guns’ “Leopard Skin” Is Out
L.A. Guns’ album, “Leopard Skin,” has arrived. It is the band’s first effort since their return to Cleopatra Records, the L.A. based indie label. Cleopatra released “Hollywood Forever” in ’12.
The lead track from “Leopard Skin” was “Taste It.”
In support of their fifteenth album, L.A. Guns plan to tour extensively this year beginning with a tour that launches toward the end of this month.
“The work ethic is yielding what it’s supposed to,” founder/guitarist Tracii Guns noted. “Fans stay excited, we stay excited, and we keep making records. And as long as we have that opportunity and there’s a place for this music in the world, there’s no reason to ever stop.”
“Leopard Skin” Tracks:
01. Taste It
02. Lucky Motherfucker
03. The Grinder
04. Hit And Run
05. Don’t Gimme Away
06. I’m Your Candy Man
07. Runaway Train
08. Following the Money
09. The Masquerade

L.A. Guns released their self-titled debut in ’88. However, Guns ditched L.A. Guns in ’02 but rejoined in ’16 while vocalist Phil Lewis bailed in ’95 but came back in ’99.
Then there was the two L.A. Guns mess. In ’06, Lewis and Guns had their own versions of the band. Long time L.A. Guns drummer Steve Riley was, at this point, a member of Lewis’s lineup until ’16 when it merged with Guns’ edition. Subsequently, Riley created his own L.A. Guns in ’19. Legal action ensued.
Under the terms of the ’21 settlement agreement, Guns and Lewis would continue to operate under the L.A. Guns trademark, while Riley and his bandmates were allowed to perform and record as Riley’s L.A. Guns (Riley passed away in ’23).
L.A. Guns’ previous studio album, “Black Diamonds,” arrived in April ’23. It was the fourth studio album since the reunion of the band’s core members – Lewis and Guns (pictured above).
