Jelly Roll Sings Tribute Ballad At The Emmys
Jelly Roll sang “I Am Not Okay” during the In Memoriam tribute segment at Sunday night’s 76th Primetime Emmy Awards.
Prior to performing the song, Jelly Roll told the audience: “I believe that music is therapeutic. I believe that music can heal. I also believe that storytelling is just as cathartic.”
Some viewer found the performance moving while others did not appreciate the mental health undertones -suicide prevention – since many of the TV people who passed away died of natural causes.
