I Prevail Move On From Brian Burkheiser

I Prevail have announced (on 5/15) the “mutual” parting of ways with vocalist Brian Burkheiser.

He handled the clean vocals since the band’s formation but was forced to step away from the band’s touring activities due to his battle with Eagle’s syndrome (characterized by pain in the face, neck, and throat triggered by movement or swallowing).

“This was a difficult decision, but we believe it is the right one and we are all grateful for the 10 epic years we shared together,” the band posted on social media.

In Burkheiser’s absence, co-vocalist Eric Vanlerberghe had handled the bulk of the singing with the help from guitarist Dylan Bowman.

I Prevail’s latest album, True Power,” dropped in 2022.

But last year, the band and Halestorm topped the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart with the non-album single “Can U See Me In The Dark?”
