Rush Bassist Auctioning Baseball Memorabilia
Rush‘s Geddy Lee, a longtime and passionate baseball fan, will auction items from his “supremely mammoth collection of baseball memorabilia” beginning December 6th through Christie’s.
Lee’s collection includes baseballs signed by U.S. Presidents John F. Kennedy, Harry Truman, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Lyndon B. Johnson.
He’s also selling a Hank Aaron’s 500th home run Braves jersey (expected to go for between $500,000 and $1 million), a rare Babe Ruth Brooklyn Dodgers uniform – he coached the Dodgers in 1938 (expected to sell for between $750,000) and $1.5 million) and a Lou Gehrig (NY Yankees) bat that could move for $400,000 to $600,000.
The items to be auctioned will be available for viewing on the Christie’s site beginning November 21st.
