Foo Fighters Rail Against The Trump Campaign

“My Hero” plays during an event in Arizona on Friday where presidential candidate Donald Trump receives an endorsement from a former indie presidential opponent Robert F. Kennedy. Trump’s campaign says they received a license from BMI’s Songview service to use the song.

“Foo Fighters were not asked permission, and if they were, they would not have granted it” states a band spokesperson before adding any royalties received as a result of this usage will be donated to the Harris/Walz presidential campaign.

“My Hero” was released in January ’98 as the third single from their second album, “The Colour And The Shape.”
