Evanescence’s New Single, “Afterlife”
Evanescence have released “Afterlife.” The track will be heard in the adult animated action series “Devil May Cry.” Based on the Japanese video game franchise “Devil May Cry” it’s scheduled for release on April 3rd on Netflix.
The song was co-written by songwriter/musician Alex Seaver, professionally known as Mako, and Evanescence’s frontwoman Amy Lee (pictured) who composed the lyrics after watching the series.
Originally thought of as a solo project it was later turned it into an Evanescence song produced by Seaver and Nick Raskulinecz.
“We are working on a lot of songs right now for the new album, but this came up through Netflix, and we were just really excited to have an excuse to get in there right away,” Lee enthused.
