Evanescence Featured On “Ballerina” Soundtrack

Fight Like A Girl

“Ballerina,” the John Wick. spin-off, is in theaters with a soundtrack that features Evanescence’s Amy Lee (pictured above) and singer Halsey on “Hands That Feed” while the film’s end title song “Fight Like A Girl” marks the first-ever collaboration between Evanescence and Alt. Rock/s K.Flay.

The latter song was co-written by Evanescence lead singer Amy Lee, K.Flay, Dylan Eiland and “Ballerina” film composer Tyler Bates, who also produced the track,

“I really wanted this song to be a collab, and K.Flay is one of my favorite artists, stated Tyler. “It is literally a dream come true to do this together!”

“Amy sent me the demo and I was immediately so energized, so inspired,” explained K.Flay, who has released five albums to date. “I was on tour at the time, and I wrote my verse backstage after a show, when my adrenaline was still super high.”

“For me, the film and the song are both about how we channel our pain and how we choose to define ourselves. What separates the hero from the villain?”

“Hand That Feeds” was the first original song from the film.

“I’ve been a fan of Amy Lee since I was 11 years old,” enthused Halsey. “Getting to create alongside her on “Hand That Feeds” is one of the most surreal moments of my life.”

“Hand That Feeds” was performed live for the first time on May 14th during Halsey’s show (with Lee) at the Hollywood Bowl.
