Electric Hendrix Spirits, producers of a vodka bearing the late Jimi Hendrix’s name and image (used without permission), gets nailed for $3.2 million by a U.S. District Court in Seattle. Additionally, the court rules that the vodka must be removed from distribution and the company is banned from producing any other Hendrix related products. The suit was filed by businesses (Experience Hendrix and Authentic Hendrix) that oversee the late guitarist’s copyrights. 2009
Hole plays their first show in eleven years at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire (theatre). With Courtney Love the only original member, the band consists of guitarist and songwriting collaborator Micko Larkin, plus bassist Shawn Dailey and drummer Stu Fischer. 2010
