On the eve of a European tour, Slipknot co-founder and percussionist M. Shawn Crahan (a.k.a. Clown) wrote on social media that he will sit out a number of the band’s shows in order to stay home with his wife Chantel, who is suffering from an undisclosed health issue.
Crahan married Chantel in 1993.
That was big news but bigger news came next…
Slipknot then announced on Wednesday that they have parted ways with keyboardist Craig Jones. He joined Slipknot in early 1996, replacing original guitarist Donnie Steele but soon moved to sampling and keyboards.
And just hours later, Slipknot played its first show with a new mystery member (pictured left) at the Nova Rock Festival in Austria.
