
Shinedown has canceled its previously announced fall ‘22 European tour dates.
“The economic and logistical side of touring currently in Europe are growing too heavy for us to be able to make this feasible at this present time,” wrote the band on social media. “With that being said, we’ve made this difficult yet necessary decision.”
Earlier this year, Anthrax and Animal Collective cancelled their planned tours of continental Europe for the same reasons.
“From inflation to currency devaluation, to bloated shipping and transportation costs, and much, much more, we simply could not make a budget for this tour that did not lose money even if everything went as well as it could,” stated Animal Collective.
There were also touring obstacles related to COVID and the economy, including fallout from a series of cancelled summer dates that caused the loss of “large amounts of income.
