“Have You Got It Yet?” is a feature-length documentary that delves into the relationship between Prog Rock’s Pink Floyd and its legendary founding member Syd Barrett, who left the group before they found stardom. The film premiered April 27th in London.
Barrett was Pink Floyd’s original frontman and primary songwriter.
In April ‘68, he was ousted from the band amid speculation of mental illness and excessive drug abuse.
Four years later, Barrett left the music industry, retiring from public life and strictly guarding his privacy. He continued painting and dedicated himself to gardening.
Barrett died of pancreatic cancer on July 7th, 2006.
The film also features new interviews with his surviving bandmates Roger Waters, David Gilmour, and Nick Mason.
The documentary’s U.K. release date is scheduled for May 15th.
