
Queen Elizabeth II passed away at age 96 on Thursday (9/8) after being on throne for seven-decades.
“I mourn with my country the passing of our greatest Queen,” wrote Ozzy Osbourne. “With a heavy heart I say it is devastating the thought of England without (her).”
“I remember the street celebrations when she was crowned Queen,” said Black Sabbath’s Geezer Butler “Always a staple of growing up in England.”
Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott chimed in with, “”Dignity. If there’s ever one word to describe this wonderful lady & Monarch it’s dignity.
Queen Elizabeth II, the longest reigning British monarch, ascended to the throne in 1952.
