The Metallica Scholar’s Initiative, launched five years ago in partnership with the American Association of Community Colleges, has made a supplementary $1.85 million donation to support the addition of eleven colleges to its existing 31-college program roster.
“The Metallica Scholars Initiative is so important to us because we are seeing results,” shared Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich. “We are helping people fill essential jobs which require skills and training.”
The new schools, which are primarily located in the Midwest and South, will each receive $100,000 to enhance the student experience as they receive career training for economic development.
Metallica and their All Within My Hands foundation have invested over $6 million in the American workforce.
