Metal bands have long promoted branded non-musical products – Iron Maiden (beer), Megadeth (wine), Metallica (whiskey) and KISS (just about everything imaginable, including coffins). Now, Ozzy Osbourne and KoЯn’s Jonathan Davis are offering cosmetics and pet attire, respectively.
Ozzy, along with the licensing agent Global Merchandising and the design team at Rock And Roll Beauty, present an exclusive collection featuring 14-pan eye shadow palettes, candles, dark “metal,” lipsticks, cosmetic bags, and a gothic mirror all inspired by the Prince Of Darkness. It’s available exclusively in select Ulta Beauty stores and www.rockandrollbeauty.com.
Then there’s Davis. An animal lover, he is launching “Freak on a Leash,” a accessories brand for household pets.
The line contains “custom products made with high-quality gunmetal hardware, leather, nylon and plushies that will set your pet apart from the pack.” It will be previewed this weekend at the Aftershcock Festival in Sacramento with the official launch on October 28th.
