Machine Head have issued its tenth album, “Of Kingdom And Crown.” “I think the approach with this one was a little more stripped down,” explained frontman Robb Flynn. He and Zack Ohren handled the album’s production. It was mixed by Colin Richardson and Chris Clancy for “a whole other level of just ferocity to the whole thing.”
A few years ago, it seemed Machine Head’s days were numbered, especially when Flynn revealed on 9/28/18 that both guitarist Pil Demmel and drummer Dave McClain had quit the band.
Machine Head added guitarist Vogg Kiełtyka and drummer Matt Alston, who performed during the opening “Evening With Machine Head” set before Machine Head alums, Kontos and Mader, joined Flynn for a second set revisiting the “Burn My Eyes” album celebrating its 25th anniversary.
