Modern Drummer magazine’s readers have voted Slipknot‘s Jay Weinberg the “Metal Drummer of the Year.”
Nearly nine years ago, Weinberg was invited to Los Angeles to try out as replacement for Joey Jordison who had been fired.
He got the gig though Slipknot initially decided not to reveal the name of its new drummer.
