The tribute concert for late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins has been nominated for an Emmy award in the Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Variety Series or Special category.
The September 3rd, 2022, star-studded concert led by the Foos’ frontman Dave Grohl was held in London’s Wembley Stadium and streamed live on Paramount+, later airing on CBS (who broadcasted highlights) as well as one-hour and two-hour specials on MTV.
Hawkins died in March in ’22.
This year’s Emmy Awards will be September 18th but may be postponed if the Hollywood writers’ strike continues.
