British guitarist Sophie Lloyd has dropped her new single and video for “Runaway,” featuring Steel Panther’s Michael Starr. It has a very obvious Van Halen feel.
“It’s inspired by all the high-energy, super-fun 80s Rock that I absolutely love,” declared Lloyd. “Eddie Van Halen was an especially big influence for the guitar work throughout the song.”
Starr even does a David Lee Roth turn.
“We wanted to have that ’80s nostalgia in the video,” continued Lloyd. “However, this time it’s the girls taking the power back and showing that you can be a powerful, sexy boss babe!”
Last year, Lloyd was in Machine Gun Kelly’s touring band.
