The Churnups performed on the second day (June 23rd) of England’s Glastonbury Festival.
Who are The Churnups? You might know them by their other name – Foo Fighters.
The Dave Grohl-led band’s unannounced performance confirmed earlier rumors that The Churnups were in fact the Foos.
“You guys f*ckin’ knew it was us this whole time — you knew it was us, right? … We’re not good at secrets,” Grohl told the audience before adding, “we only have one hour, so we’re going to try fit in as many songs as we can.”
During their set The Churnups/Foos played “Everlong” and dedicated it their late drummer Taylor Hawkins, who passed away last year. Prior to the song Grohl shouted, “let’s sing this one loud as shit for Mr. Taylor.”
