The Foo Fighters‘ 11th studio album, containing “Rescued,” which went to #1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart, “The Teacher” and “Under You,” is set for release on June 2nd.

The album, co-produced by the band and Greg Kurstin, is the Foos first since the passing of drummer Taylor Hawkins, who Foo Fighters‘ frontman Dave Grohl called “my brother from another mother.” Grohl, the former Nirvana drummer, played drums on “But Here We Are.”

In a press release, the band wrote the set is “a brutally honest and emotionally raw response to everything the Foo Fighters have endured over the last year,”

They went on to add that “Rescued” was “the first of 10 songs (on the album) that run the emotional gamut from rage and sorrow to serenity and acceptance, and myriad points in between.”
