Candlemass will embark on a brief West Coast run this March in support of its latest album, “Sweet Evil Sun,” which came out last November.
“’Sweet Evil Sun’ is about hope, striving, adoration and failure,” explained bassist Leif Edling. “It’s about all the personal battles that you have, but also the never-ending decay of humanity.”
The week-long trek will kick off on March 10th in Seattle and conclude on March 17th in San Diego.
Making its debut in’86 with the album “Epicus Doomicus Metallicus”) Doom Metal’s Candlemass has sold more than fifteen million albums worldwide.
Over the years, vocalists, guitarists and drummers have come and gone leaving Edling as the only constant. But in ’18, the band reunited with vocalist Johan Längqvist who performed on “Epicus Doomicus Metallicus.”
